The honest limits, before you spend time on a file
One setting, on purpose
MP3 is written at 192 kbps. The sound itself isn't changed — no trimming, no volume change, no speech-to-text.
Already an MP3?
If the file is already an MP3, AMGlide says so rather than encoding it a second time. You can still choose WAV.
From a video
To take the sound out of a video, use MP4 to MP3, which opens video files.
Limits
Audio files up to 1 GB. The MP3 encoder runs in the page as WebAssembly. It needs a browser that can decode audio — current Chrome and Edge can; if yours can't, this page says so before you choose a file.
