Terms of Service

The agreement between you and AMGlide when you use the website, the workspace or the browser extension.

1. The service

AMGlide provides digital utilities for working with files, links and text: converting, compressing, editing and inspecting files; cleaning and building links; transforming and extracting text; Smart Drop, which recommends a tool for a file; and, in the AMGlide browser extension, screenshots, screen recording, right-click actions, Rescue and saved workflows. The service is offered on amglide.com, in the AMGlide workspace at amglide.com/app/, and through the AMGlide browser extension.

2. Using AMGlide for free

These terms apply whenever you use AMGlide. Today, AMGlide is free:

We may limit or block use that threatens the service or other people — for example automated abuse — as described in section 13.

3. AMGlide Pro and subscriptions

AMGlide Pro is not on sale yet, and no payment can be taken for it today. When it is offered, these terms will apply to it, and the Pricing page will list what Pro includes, its prices and taxes before you can buy it.

4. Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel a subscription at any time. Your Pro access remains active until the end of your paid billing period. After that, your account moves to Free. The details are in the Cancellation Policy, and when a payment can be refunded is in the Refund Policy.

5. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, Pro stays active for 7 days while the payment is retried or you update your payment method. If it still hasn't been paid after 7 days, your account moves to Free. Nothing you have saved is deleted because of it.

6. Who processes payments

When Pro is on sale, payments will be processed by a payment provider acting as the Merchant of Record: the seller of record for your purchase, responsible for charging you, collecting and remitting taxes, issuing invoices and executing refunds. Your purchase will also be subject to that provider’s own terms, which will be shown at checkout.

7. Accounts

Accounts are optional; Pro, when it is offered, will need one. If you have an account, you must give accurate information, keep your sign-in secure, and you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.

8. Acceptable use

You may use AMGlide only for lawful purposes, and only with files, media, websites and content you own or are authorised to use. The Acceptable Use Policy is part of these terms and lists what is not allowed, including circumventing DRM or other access controls, downloading content you have no right to, and processing illegal content.

9. Your content

You keep every right you have in the files, links and text you use with AMGlide. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to process them, and for how you use the results. Tools that run on your device process your content inside your browser; AMGlide does not receive it. Keep your own copy of anything important: check each result before you rely on it.

10. Local and cloud processing

Every AMGlide tool today runs on your device. If AMGlide later offers a capability that needs its servers — for example heavy processing, OCR or sync — that capability will say so before you use it and state what would be sent, and it will be described in the Privacy Policy before it is offered.

11. AMGlide’s intellectual property

AMGlide’s software, name, logo, design and written content belong to AMGlide or its licensors. These terms let you use the service; they don’t transfer any of those rights to you. Don’t copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service except where the law allows it.

12. Availability, changes and fair use

We work to keep AMGlide available and correct, but we don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, add or remove features. Capabilities that use AMGlide’s servers, when they exist, may have fair-use limits, which the Pricing page will state before you buy. We will not remove a paid capability during a billing period you have already paid for without offering a refund for the unused part.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access for fraud, abuse, a breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or where the law requires it. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why first. You can stop using AMGlide at any time.

14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

AMGlide is provided “as is” and “as available”, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, AMGlide is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, and its total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid AMGlide in the twelve months before the claim, or, if you have paid nothing, to zero. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection law that cannot be limited.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed. If a change materially affects a paid subscription, we will tell you before it applies.
