The honest limits, before you spend time on a file
A target, checked afterwards
The encode is planned to land under 10 MB with a safety margin, from measurements of how the encoder behaves. The final file is then measured. If it came out over, the page says “Target not met” and shows the size — it is never labelled a success.
If it's already small enough
A video that is already 10 MB or less is left alone. Re-encoding it would only cost quality.
If 10 MB isn't realistic
Long or high-resolution videos may not fit in 10 MB without becoming unwatchable. When nothing AMGlide can do is expected to get there, it says so up front and tells you roughly how small it could go.
What it may change
To fit, the resolution, frame rate or audio bitrate may be lowered. Every change is listed before you start.
Limits
Videos up to 1 GB. It needs a browser that can encode video — current Chrome and Edge can; if yours can't, this page says so before you choose a file.
