Privacy: your work stays on your device

What a task looks like

There is no server step in that picture, because there isn't one. You can check: open your browser's network panel and run a task — the requests are for this site's own pages and code, and a check of which privacy rules apply. Your file, links and text are never in any of them.

What this site doesn't do

• No uploads of your files, links or text.
• No accounts and no sign-in.
• No advertising or tracking cookies. One first-party cookie remembers whether you allowed or declined usage analytics, and nothing else.
• No advertising analytics, tracking pixels, session recording, fingerprinting or ads.

Usage analytics

AMGlide may collect limited first-party usage analytics — which pages and tools are useful, and whether tasks succeed — but only when you allow it. Until you choose, analytics stay off, and you can use every tool without choosing.

• On this website, analytics carry no lasting identifier: each visit has a random number that is gone when the page is closed or reloaded, so one visit is never linked to the next.
• In the AMGlide extension, analytics are off unless you turn them on in its Settings, and they include a random install number kept in your browser. What it shares is under The extension, below.
• Never part of analytics: file names, file contents, pasted text, URLs, advertising identifiers or your IP address.
• Where you are: if analytics are on, the country is worked out by AMGlide's server from the request. Your IP address is not stored in analytics, and nothing on your device is asked for your location.
• Your browser's Global Privacy Control signal is followed: while it is on, analytics stay off, whatever you chose.
• The one cookie holds only your answer and the version of this notice it answered — no identifier, no history.
• How long it is kept: raw analytics events for 90 days; an extension install's record of when it was first and last active until it has been inactive for 13 months; daily totals for 25 months. Monthly totals, which hold no identifier of any kind, are kept.
• You can change your mind at any time, here or from the footer of any page. Turning analytics off stops anything more being sent. What was already sent is not deleted at that moment: it is kept only for the periods above.

Where the work happens

The extension

The AMGlide extension keeps your settings, pinned tools, capture history, saved workflows and text recipes in Chrome's own storage, on your device. A workflow or a recipe holds the steps you chose — never the content you ran them on. The Media Downloader and right-click actions fetch a file from the page you're on because you asked for it: that is a download to your device, never an upload of anything of yours.

Usage analytics in the extension are off unless you turn on Settings → Privacy → Usage analytics. When they are on, the extension shares limited usage analytics, such as which tools and parts of the extension are opened, when Smart Drop suggests a tool, whether a task finishes or fails (with the kind of input, a size range and a failure type — never an error message), whether its result is kept, and when the extension updates. Each event includes the extension's version, a random install number kept in your browser and a random session number. It never includes your files or their names, text you select or paste, links or page addresses, page or tab titles, or the contents of screenshots and recordings. Global Privacy Control keeps it off. Turning it off deletes the install number and anything not yet sent from your browser; what was already sent is kept only for the periods in Usage analytics above.

What the host sees

Like any website, the host that serves these pages receives the ordinary information every request carries, such as your IP address and browser. AMGlide adds no advertising or tracking on top of that, and your files, links and text are never part of a request. If you allow usage analytics, they record the country the server derived from the request — not the IP address itself.
