The honest limits, before you spend time on a file
Why PNG
PNG stores every pixel exactly and keeps transparency, which suits screenshots, logos and graphics you will edit again.
File size
A photo saved as PNG is often larger than the JPG it came from, because PNG does not throw detail away. Converting can't bring back detail a JPG already lost.
Already a PNG?
If the picture is already a PNG, AMGlide tells you there is nothing to convert.
Limits
JPG, WebP and PNG images up to 40 MB.
