What happens to a scanned PDF?
A scanned page is already a picture, so it comes out as a JPG that looks just as it does in the PDF. Every page, scanned or not, becomes a flat picture, not an editable document: its text can't be selected or edited, and nothing in it is read as text.
Why JPG and not PNG?
JPG keeps photo-heavy pages small, which is what most people want from a PDF page. PNG holds sharp edges and flat colour better, so a page that is mostly diagrams or screenshots looks crisper as a PNG. Both are in the same tool: JPG is already chosen, PNG is one click away, and Standard, High or Very high sets how many pixels each page gets. Pages are drawn on white, as a PDF reader shows them.
Is there a page or size limit?
PDFs up to 100 MB, and up to 100 pages in one conversion — for a longer document, choose the pages you need. A very large page may need a lower quality. Password-protected PDFs need to be unlocked first. Big documents take longer and use more memory in this tab.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no account to make and nothing to sign in to: choose a PDF and convert it.
