- Step 3Save the PNGsOne PNG for a single page, or a ZIP of them all
Good to know
The honest limits, before you spend time on a file
When PNG is the right choice
PNG keeps every pixel of the drawn page, without the soft edges JPG compression leaves around small text and thin lines. That suits pages of text, diagrams, charts, tables and screenshots. For pages that are mostly photographs, PDF to JPG gives much smaller files.
What the size setting changes
Standard, High and Very high draw each page at 1.5, 2 or 3 times its own size. For PNG that is the only setting: it decides how many pixels a page gets, and there is no compression level to choose. Pages are drawn on white, as a PDF reader shows them, so these PNGs have no transparent areas.
Expect larger files than JPG
A full page as PNG is usually several times the size of the same page as JPG, and Very high is the largest. One page downloads as one PNG; several come together in one ZIP. If the images of one run would be too large to package in the browser, the conversion stops and says so — choose fewer pages or a smaller size.
Limits
PDFs up to 100 MB, and up to 100 pages in one conversion. A password-protected PDF has to be unlocked first. A scanned page is already a picture, so its PNG looks like the scan and its text still can't be selected.
Beyond this one task
Give AMGlide the file. It works out the rest.
Smart Drop reads what you brought and suggests what fits — then carries it into the next step without asking for it again.
